Select Quality and Save MP4
Choose your preferred video quality (1080p, 720p, 480p, 360p) or audio-only option and save the merged MP4 file to your phone or computer.
Download Reddit Videos With Sound (1080p MP4 + Audio)
Yes, RDSave downloads Reddit videos with full sound by automatically merging Reddit's separate video and audio tracks into a single playable MP4 file.
Specifically, Reddit hosts native videos on v.redd.it using adaptive streaming (DASH and HLS), which stores the video stream and the audio track in two separate files. A basic browser save captures only the silent video stream.
When you paste a link into RDSave, our system detects both the highest-resolution video stream and the original audio channel, muxing them together on the fly so your downloaded MP4 plays with synchronized sound on any device.
Note: Some Reddit uploads are genuinely silent or uploaded as GIF-style clips without an audio track. In those cases, no audio stream exists in the source to merge.

See our Reddit Video Quality Guide (240p to 1080p Explained) for details on how Reddit encodes each tier.
Are Reddit Videos Downloaded as Standard MP4?
Yes. Every video download is packaged as a standard H.264/AAC .mp4 file for universal playback across phones, computers, messaging apps, and video editors. Compare MP4, GIF, and MP3 in our Reddit Video Formats Explained guide.
