Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 28, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how RDSave collects, uses, processes and shares information when you visit RDSave or use our Reddit media tools. RDSave is designed to operate without requiring a user account. We aim to collect only the information reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve and support the service. By using RDSave, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Scope of This Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to RDSave webpages, tools and services, including tools for processing publicly accessible Reddit:

  • videos;
  • audio;
  • images;
  • image galleries;
  • GIF-style and looping media.

This policy does not govern Reddit or other third-party websites and services. Their privacy practices are controlled by their respective operators.

2. Information You Provide

Submitted URLs

When you paste a Reddit URL into RDSave, the URL is processed for the purpose of identifying and preparing supported media. RDSave does not intentionally maintain a user-facing history of submitted URLs.

Depending on our technical infrastructure, submitted URLs or related request information may temporarily appear in operational, security or diagnostic systems. Such information is not intended to be used to create personal download profiles.

Contact Information

If you contact RDSave through a form or email, we may receive information such as your name, email address, the contents of your message, and URLs or other information you voluntarily provide. We use this information to respond to your inquiry, investigate problems, address legal requests or provide support.

3. Information Collected Automatically

When you access RDSave, our servers, hosting providers, security services or other infrastructure providers may automatically process limited technical information, including:

  • IP address;
  • browser type and version;
  • device type and operating system;
  • approximate network or country-level information derived from IP;
  • referring page, requested pages, date and time of access;
  • request and error information, security and abuse signals;
  • cookie or device identifiers where applicable.

We may use this information for website operation, fraud and abuse prevention, rate limiting, security, troubleshooting, performance measurement, analytics, advertising measurement, and legal compliance.

4. Media Processing

RDSave processes URLs submitted by users to provide requested media functionality. RDSave is not intended to operate as a permanent storage or public archive service.

Where temporary files are technically required to complete a request, they may exist only for the period reasonably necessary to process or deliver the requested result and may be automatically removed afterward. We do not intentionally build user profiles based on which Reddit media URLs a particular person processes.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

RDSave may use cookies, local storage and similar technologies across several categories:

  • Essential Technologies: Used for website functionality, security, fraud prevention, user preferences (such as dark mode), load balancing, and consent management.
  • Analytics: Where analytics services are enabled, they collect aggregate information about site usage, device categories, and performance to help us improve the service.
  • Advertising: Third-party advertising vendors, including Google, may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses or other identifiers to serve and measure advertisements based on prior visits to RDSave and other sites.

6. Consent for Advertising and Cookies

Where required by applicable law, RDSave requests consent or provides appropriate privacy choices before using non-essential cookies or processing personal data for personalized advertising.

For visitors in regions where additional consent requirements apply (such as the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland), RDSave uses a consent management platform (CMP) to collect and communicate user choices. Users may accept, reject, or update previous consent choices at any time.

7. Google Advertising Disclosures

If Google advertising services are enabled on RDSave:

  • Google may place or read cookies on your browser;
  • Google may use IP addresses, cookies, and device identifiers for ad serving, measurement, and fraud prevention;
  • Google and its partners use information about visits to RDSave and other websites to provide relevant advertising where permitted.

Users can learn more through Google's policy on How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and manage settings via Google Ads Settings.

8. Third-Party Service Providers

RDSave may use third-party providers for hosting, content delivery, security, analytics, advertising, consent management, error monitoring, and infrastructure services. These providers process technical information only to the extent necessary to deliver their services.

9. Sharing of Information

We may disclose information to service providers assisting our operations, when legally required by law or valid legal process, to investigate abuse and enforce our Terms of Service, or in connection with a business merger or transfer.

10. Sale and Targeted Advertising

RDSave does not sell personal information in exchange for money. However, certain advertising or analytics practices may be treated as a "sale", "sharing", or "targeted advertising" under specific privacy regulations. Where applicable law requires, we provide relevant notice and opt-out choices.

11. Data Retention

We retain technical and operational logs only for as long as reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, and legal compliance, after which they are deleted, aggregated, or anonymized.

12. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of your personal data, or to opt out of targeted advertising. To submit a privacy request, visit our Contact page.

13. EEA, UK and Similar Privacy Rights

Where applicable under GDPR / UK GDPR, processing relies on consent, legitimate interests (such as network security and abuse prevention), performance of requested service, or legal obligations.

14. International Data Processing

RDSave and its infrastructure providers may process data across international server locations with appropriate safeguards in place.

15. Children's Privacy

RDSave is not intended for and does not knowingly collect personal data from children in violation of applicable law.

16. Security

We use reasonable technical and operational measures to protect service infrastructure, but no online transmission or storage system can be guaranteed 100% secure.

17. Copyright and User Responsibility

RDSave processes user-submitted URLs for lawful and authorized purposes only. Users are responsible for having necessary permissions to download or retain content. For details, see our Terms of Service.

18. Third-Party Links

RDSave may link to Reddit or external resources. Visiting third-party sites is governed by their respective privacy policies.

19. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this policy periodically. The latest version is always published on this page with the updated revision date.
